Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Jarvis AI collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our Service. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect your account details (such as email address), usage data (such as questions asked, features used, and progress metrics), and billing information processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide and improve the Service, deliver AI tutoring responses, track your learning progress, enforce usage limits, process payments, and communicate important updates.

4. AI Processing

Questions you submit may be processed by trusted AI model providers to generate responses. We send only the content needed to produce an answer and do not sell your data.

5. Cookies & Advertising

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. Free-plan users may see advertisements, which can use cookies to display relevant ads. Ads are never shown to Pro or Premium subscribers, and never during tutoring, voice sessions, or active exams.

6. Parent Dashboard

Where a learner links a parent account, we share relevant progress information with that parent to support the learner's education, consistent with the linking consent provided.

7. Data Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us operate (such as hosting, database, payment, and AI providers), and where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission is fully secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

9. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where the UK/EU GDPR applies, we process your data under the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), your consent (e.g. for advertising cookies and parent linking), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

10. Your Data-Protection Rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). To exercise any right, contact us using the details below and we will respond within one month.

11. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

12. International Transfers

Your data may be processed by service providers located outside your country. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect your information.

13. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for learners aged 13 and over, or younger users with verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children without such consent.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the updated version with a revised date.
