Exam pattern & marking
Objective paper (MCQs) plus a subjective paper with short questions and extended/long questions.
- MCQ (1 mark) — One correct option; no marks for working.
- Short question — 2–4 line answer with the key definition, formula or reason stated explicitly.
- Long / extended question — Structured answer: statement, working or derivation, labelled diagram where relevant, and a concluding result with units.
- Numerical — Formula, substitution, calculation and final answer with correct units.
